9/28/22 - Because of Hurricane Ian, Clyde and Niki evacuated and will not be back in time for this event. If you purchased tickets, keep an eye out for the rescheduling email. That’s all the info I have and since it was a sold out event, there will be no additional tickets for sale, so I will no longer post about it here.
Thought we’d go up and visit Clyde Butcher’s opening reception for his new exhibit at the Flamingo Gardens in Davie. Here’s info from Clyde Butcher’s website:
Clyde Butcher, from his website
“Join Clyde for a Lecture, Book Signing, and Opening Reception on October 1 from 5 – 9 pm at Flamingo Gardens.
Meet Clyde Butcher while you take in his exhibit, America’s Everglades. Enjoy wine and small bites as you stroll through the Gallery, followed by a lecture in the newly-finished Mary N. Porter Learning Center and a book signing with Mr. Butcher. This is a ticketed event. Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and not included in the regular admission. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
Clyde Butcher’s America’s Everglades Exhibit will be on display at Flamingo Gardens from October 1 – December 31, 2022. With his century-old camera, Clyde Butcher has been exploring and documenting the Everglades for more than three decades. The result is a stunning collection of large-format black-and-white photographs that capture untouched parts of the nation’s largest subtropical wilderness. Delicate ecosystems, rare botanical specimens, and sweeping landscapes bring the wonder of this mysterious part of our country to light.”
You will have to buy your own tickets from Clyde’s website to attend. Price is $20 unless you’re a member of the Flamingo Gardens. Click the button below to be directed to the website.
Do not confuse this with our field trip to Flamingo Gardens in November. These are two different events.
