We've been offered to exhibit our Big Cypress National Preserve (BICY) images for the upcoming "season" at the BICY Oasis Visitors Center from October, 2022 through April, 2023. This is really exciting news and a HUGE thank you to Robert Chaplin for setting this up for us!
RULES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
1) Only SFNPCC members in good standing are allowed to participate in this event.
2) Images MUST be from the Big Cypress National Preserve. No limitations on the date.
3) Between now (April 13, 2022) and May 1st, we NEED YOUR participation commitments. If you are interested, PLEASE RSVP to info@sfnpcc.org to let us know you intend to participate in the show. Only serious participants please! As soon as we hit the deadline date with our participants, no other general member emails will go out about this event, until the opening show announcement and invitation.
4) All images, once submitted, will be sent to 3rd party professional photographers for jury. (Jury means artwork will be reviewed and evaluated for inclusion in an exhibit or event.) No-one within the club, or with any affiliation to the club, will be involved in the jurying process. The reason for the jury is to have the best work on display. All members who participate and submit images will have at least one of their images included in the show. However, we ask that you "self critique" before submitting, and please submit only your best work. As soon as we find out how many participants we have, I'll announce a "not-to-exceed" number of images to submit. You will have until the end of July to submit images.
5) You will be responsible for all work and costs associated with the image presentation. That includes the taking of the photo(s), and the processing of the photo(s). Once your image(s) is/are approved for display, you will be responsible for the printing, matting, framing (if you choose to frame), and installation of hanging hardware of the photo(s). You will also be responsible for transporting your images (or finding someone to transport) to the Oasis Visitors Center on the day of hanging (tentatively Oct. 1st). We will certainly help anyone who is new to these things. Please don't hesitate to ask! We all start somewhere.
6) SFNPCC is not responsible for any theft or damages.

ESTIMATED TIMELINE
May 1st is the deadline to notify us with your intent - NOT IMAGES.
July 31st will be the deadline to submit images. We'll determine how many images you can submit after May 1st.
Oct. 1st is the tentative hanging date.
