May Field Trip - Downtown Miami City Walk

Delfin will be leading the group in a city walk through downtown Miami. Meet us no later than 9am and we’ll photograph the beautiful architecture, people, whatever strikes your fancy.

Our meeting location will be Maurice A Ferre Park, 1075 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132 (The park just north of the American Airlines Arena, or whatever they’re calling it now).

Parking is available at the park, or take a MetroRail to the MetroMover and then get off at the Museum Park stop.

Meeting spot is at the “Giant Head Statute”, you can’t miss it.  Giant White Statue by the waterfront and next to the Perez museum.

WHAT TO BRING:

Camera and lens of your choice, with sufficient memory cards and batteries.
A mid-range zoom like a 24-70, and long zoom 70-200, or equivalent
(If you’d like to challenge yourself, a prime lens. Just be sure you’re comfortable carrying it all morning long.)

You also may want to bring water, and possibly a snack, if you feel the need.

WHAT YOU’LL SEE:

We will start out taking photographs of the Museum PAMM and the Museum of Science. We’ll proceed to walk Biscayne Blvd where we’ll take photos of the iconic high rises in the area and the Freedom Tower. There’s also the Miami Heat Arena and Bayside Marketplace.  If we have time and group willing, we can hop on to the Metro mover and travel through Miami for other iconic historic buildings and locations.
