We’ll meet at the Long Pine Key Nature Trail and go on a ‘walkabout’ on the Gate 3 trail (it’s the eastern LPK trail), which leads to an open meadow. Click this link for exact location: https://goo.gl/maps/Ba34GXPBXgYkm2Ad7
EDIT:
If you don’t like the idea of writing ideas in a notebook, by all means, take photos! Last time we used our cell phones and just took pictures of things that caught our eye.
Bring along a notebook and pen, or download a note taking app for your mobile device, or if you must, record it on your camera or cell phone. We’ll slowly stroll and get inquisitive of our surroundings, let our minds wander and wonder. Then write down or photograph what captures our attention. Objects, shapes, textures, colors, light, transitions, layers, atmosphere etc.
The simple act of noticing will get you more engaged with the landscape. After noticing, you may feel strong emotions with these things. Make a mental note of these feelings, or, write those down too! Let your imaginations and creativity flow. These are the things YOU like; these are what elevates emotions within YOURSELF, these are things you can see on a regular basis, not only when you take a trip to an exotic location. Once you see and notice what instigates emotions within you, you’ll find your own passion in the landscape and be able to be more creative.
And then if time allows, we can photograph the sunset from LPK lake. The sun sets at 6:45 pm.
