SFNPCC Feb. Field Trip - Everglades Mrazek Pond Bird Photography

Let’s all meet at Mrazek pond about an hour before sunrise. This area fills up fast so you’ll want to be there early to get a spot. I was here in 2020 and the birds were unbelievable. Make sure to get your arms in shape as you’ll be doing a lot of lifting of that camera! :D

As with last month’s field trip at Shark Valley, you will most likely only need your long lenses, but you may also want a tripod. Good thing about this trip is we’ll be parking right next to the lake so you can easily retrieve any necessary items from your car. Bring what you need to be comfortable: food, drinks, chair or stool to sit while you wait.

Please RSVP by clicking HERE.

Also, as I said for the Shark Valley trip, the park does charge an entrance fee. We always suggest getting a yearly Everglades park only pass or an America the Beautiful Park Pass as the club visits the Everglades often. See the links below to purchase online well in advance, or you can purchase one at the gate.

A 7-day park pass is $30 per vehicle. Click here to purchase online. Everglades National Park Site Pass in Florida - Recreation.gov

An Everglades-Only park pass is $55 per year. Click here to purchase online. Everglades National Park Site Pass in Florida - Recreation.gov

An all park National Park (called America the Beautiful pass) pass is $80 per year. Click the link to purchase online. America the Beautiful Passes (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)

Hope to see you all there!
