Today is our scavenger hunt! The hunt will be fully in the Everglades National Park. Clues will be emailed to everyone. You will have a full 24 hour period in which to photograph your clues.
While this will still have clues to find, we are also incorporating different styles of shooting as well as finding hidden gems. So the results will be more creative than just checking off boxes on a list. So much fun!! I’ll keep you all posted.
Click HERE for a PDF of the intro, rules, and clues. Please RSVP by clicking here and use the same email link if you have any questions. Good luck!

VERY IMPORTANT!! YOU MUST RSVP TO GET LAST MINUTE UPDATES!
SFNPCC emails to the membership are done in MailChimp and I don't have an app for that on my phone. To send a message remotely, I need to use our email service, Outlook, but our contact list is on MailChimp, not Outlook. If I know you're participating I can add you to the list. I will send a welcome email to everyone who has RSVPd on Friday night, and will then use that if I need to "reply to all" the next day. So please, click HERE and RSVP so I know you're participating or you plan on participating. If you decide not to last minute, that's ok. Please do not message me on Facebook or my personal email with questions or to RSVP (not that I mind personal messages, but it makes it harder to keep all of this info in one place).
I've had some questions about the clues for the scavenger hunt. So here's a little clarification.
Question 1) Do we have to photograph the clues in the locations listed. A) No, it's not required that you shoot them in these exact locations. For some clues, they can be found just about everywhere in the Everglades. Not all of them though, so be careful.
Question 2) Can you give us a hint?! A) I suppose I can do like Robert, Bob, and Hugh have done in the past and if you find me I can give you a clue. But honestly, the clues are not that cryptic. Once you figure out what it is, you just have to find them (that'll be the harder part), but that's where this challenge lies, that and being creative.
Additional statement regarding the flooding. Due to all of the summer and late fall storms, the road to PaHayOkee and other areas may be flooded and/or inaccessible. If an area is closed, do not proceed. Obey the rules in the park and keep yourselves safe. But as far as I know, these areas that are inaccessible are not necessary to the clues. The PaHayOkee clue for example can be found in many areas of the Everglades. If I do find that an area is closed that you can ONLY find that clue in ONLY that area, I'll send everyone an email about it. But right now, I don't see that.
Additional comment... If you have any questions on that day, you can email me and I'll see if I can clarify without giving away the answers. Don't make the clues more complicated than they are. The challenge here is being creative. Email me here info@sfnpcc.org with questions and to RSVP. Thanks!
