Field Trip - Moon Rise and Moonlight Landscapes

  • Ernest Coe Visitors Center 40001 State Hwy 9336 Homestead, FL, 33034 United States (map)

Tonight we’re going to Pine Glades Lake to shoot the moon!

We’ll start with a moon rise from the western side of the lake, and end up photographing the pines and lake bathed in the near full moonlight.

Moon rise is at about 9:30pm so we’ll meet at Ernest Coe at 8pm, drive to the site, and then walk the short trail to the west side of the lake, get set up and wait on the moon.

Be aware, the park staff may be on duty and will check for your yearly park pass or you will have to pay the fee $30 fee to get in (good for 7 days). Yearly pass is $55 (as of field trip date). As a member of the club, I highly suggest buying a park pass as we spend a lot of time in the Everglades.
