Come spend Veteran's Day at Shark Valley! The National Park Conservation Association and the Southern Cross Astronomical Society will be hosting a star-gazing interpretive event.

This event will take place from 6 - 10 p.m. Admission is FREE for the Veteran's day holiday. Light snack and drinks will be provided while supplies last. Visitors are recommended to bring a lawn chair for seating.

The event will take place at the new viewing platform near the Shark Valley Visitor Center.

From 6 pm - 7 pm, Park Rangers will give a presentation on star-gazing here in the Everglades with example from American military history.

In between and after the program, there will be telescopes set up to view the stars. Visitors are more than welcome to bring a telescope, but not required.
