Welcome to my links page.

In the spring of 2008, knowing that I wanted to travel in my approaching retirement, I purchased an entry level DSLR to archive those travel photos. I enrolled in a few intro to photography classes at a nearby community college, and plunged headlong into the world of digital photography. Little did I know that what had begun merely as an adjunct to enjoying my travels would soon became the focal point as to the when and where of those adventures, and even more so.... my daily life.  A landscape/wildlife photographer at heart, but I do enjoy other outlets for my lens, especially people at play.

Barbara Livieri

Welcome to my links page.

Barb has been with the club since March of 2015, a few months after the club was founded. She was as green as they come and dove in headfirst. Equipped only with a 10-year old entry level Olympus, she set out to learn all there was to learn about photography and the local landscape of Everglades National Park. Since then she’s consumed as much education as possible, and gone out in the field as much as possible. Cameras have come and gone and she now photographs with a mirrorless Nikon. Barb has grown to love nature and strives to learn more about it and to protect it by showing the beauty of our natural world. She’s also expanded her photography palette to include the desert southwest, the Great Lakes area, and the pacific northwest!

In 2017, Barb became an officer of the SFNPCC, and then a director in 2020. In real life, Barb is an office manager with an environmental consulting firm. She enjoys photographing all aspects of nature, but is partial to forests and trees. Follow her on her always-under-construction website and social media outlets. Instagram is where you’ll find her most recent and bulk of her work. (Until she can get her website up and in order 😄).

Ernesto Rodriguez-Corria

Welcome to my links page.

Ernesto Rodriguez is a distinguished photographer known for his poignant representation of landscapes and architecture. The crux of his work is the synergy of light with water and architectural elements. Ernesto's techniques lean towards the classical landscape photographer’s methodology, employing tripods, filters, and, crafting compositions in the most favorable lighting. Of late, he has also ventured into abstract photography.

Drawing inspiration from his upbringing in Cuba, his life on an island, and his eventual residence in Miami, the pervasive theme of his work is the vast expanse of waters. Whether it's the serenity of prolonged exposures or the raw power of waves meeting the coast, coastal vistas are a recurring motif in his portfolio. However, his artistic vision is not confined to seascapes. Ernesto captures the vibrancy bustling cities, where light gains a metaphorical essence, as well as the grandeur of mountains with their towering, snow-draped summits.

Ernesto's photography transcends mere visuals; it's a journey, a narrative, and a tribute to the pristine fragments of our world. Through his lens, viewers are transported to an ethereal realm of nature and human-made marvels.
