HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!Phew… we made it! 2025 certainly was one for the books. Lets hope 2026 treats us a bit kinder. Hope everyone had a great December and that your holidays were spent with the people you love and bring you joy. As per usual, we slowed down a bit in December to allow folks to prepare for the upcoming holidays. Our PhotoFinish was pretty relaxed. The monthly meeting on the 10th was fun seeing all the submitted photos for 12-Months of Everglades, and then discussing our 2026 photo challenge, and all of our upcoming events in 2026. Our night in the Everglades photographing the Geminids, well, we didn’t. 😂 As per usual for 2025, our timing for a weather-specific field trip was lousy! A few of us still headed out and just went for a walkabout. A day out photographing nature is always better than, well… just about anything. Click the link here for the 2025 In Summary blog post. ———————————————————————NEW PHOTO CHALLENGE FOR 2026 TO BEGIN!The memo went out in mid-December (here’s a link if you missed it) about our photo challenge for 2026. Our first quarterly “winter” challenge starts on January 1st and goes until the first week of March, and that is to photograph a subject from 4 separate angles. You have three months to complete this challenge so enjoy the process of finding a suitable subject, photographing, processing, and submitting. And don’t forget to have fun! __________________________________________________________________________ PERSONAL PROJECTS ANYONE?Speaking of “challenges”, I have a few ideas for personal projects in another new blog post that I’ve included here. When one year ends, the next begins. And rather than make resolutions that you might never keep, how about creating a new photography project for yourself? Included in the post are some ideas that you can introduce into your schedule - that fits your schedule. Enjoy!
